The first direct qualifier for the 2017 The BIG One, set for Sept. 23-24 at Laurel Park, is this Sunday. If The BIG One isn’t near the very top of your 2017 priority list in terms of on-site tournaments to shoot for, it really should be.
In terms of volume, we didn’t run THAT many tourneys last weekend, and yet each day brought us something special or unique that served to make several high-quality games even more memorable.
The year ends with a bang on Saturday as HorseTourneys hosts a 15-race, $50,000 Guaranteed event on New Year’s Eve. But it’s just one tourney amid many excellent ones this weekend. Let’s begin our look with Friday’s action.
