With Christmas Eve and Christmas Day falling on the weekend this year, we’ve re-jiggered our normal schedule to still give you a weekend’s worth of exciting action – but on Friday and Monday, instead of Saturday and Sunday. And, other than Exacta Box and Survivor games, almost everything will be run in Pick & Pray format so you don’t need to be chained to your computer to play.
On Friday, we have three top featured games – all using Gulfstream’s 6th through 10th; Fair Grounds’s 4th through 6th; and Tampa’s 8th through 10th as contest races.
Topping the list is our new Friday staple — a $5,000 Guaranteed game with $2,500 to the winner and prizes down to fourth. Entry is $185.
And we’ve also slotted in a Friday edition of our Entry-Only Horse Player World Series qualifier with one in 20 (at $87 each) winning a $1,500 entry to the 2017 HPWS.
As many of you probably know already, there is just one track running on Saturday – Laurel. We obviously didn’t schedule anything major that day. However, we know that some of you really would enjoy the opportunity to play a tourney or two that day. (We’re more than game to stick around and run it if you are game to play it!) So we’ve created a wide array of Laurel full-card tourneys for you to pick from that day. Check them out on our home page. There are both feeders and cash games available. The nine-race card starts at Noon ET and wraps up at 4:00 pm ET.
Our featured weekend schedule resumes on Monday — opening day at Santa Anita and a day that most of the world has off.
Our Monday topper is a $12,500 Guaranteed event in which we will pay full prizes down to 6th place, including $6,250 to the winner, regardless of participation levels. Entry is $195. Contest races are still TBD as of press time.
Monday will also feature a Horse Player World Series Full-Package tourney. The HPWS game offers a $1,500 entry to the HPWS plus four nights at The Orleans and another $500 for your travel. Entry is $116 with one entry per 25 entries winning a package.
There will also be a special Monday edition of our Sunday Treasure Island NHC Last Chance tournament — for $58 with one in 10 winning. I suppose this is like how the networks promote a special Saturday Night edition of Thursday Night Football.
No weekend is complete, of course, without our $1,500 Guaranteed Exacta Box tournament for $54 ($600 up top). And we’re also running a Round 2 feeder to our $50,000 Guaranteed tourney on December 31. Entry fee is $110 with one in five moving on.
