Keeneland Bonanza, Guar. $25K game, NHC Qualifier, Last Chances Top Major Weekend

It’s not just a great weekend of Breeders’ Cup prep races. Opening Day at Keeneland is Friday and we’re ready for it here at HorseTourneys. We’ll be hosting 24 full-card, Keeneland-only tourneys on Friday (including three guaranteed cash games) with prices ranging from $5-$110 so that you can jump right in to what is always an exciting meet each fall. Here are just a handful of them:

Friday will also feature our customary $5,000 guaranteed game. This one is a Pick & Pray with contest races set as Belmont’s 7th through 9th; Keeneland’s 7th through 10th; and Santa Anita’s 4th through 7th (11 races in all). Because it is a guaranteed game, full prizes will be paid down to 4th place regardless of participation and the winner gets $2,500. Entry fee is $185.

Saturday is headlined by two very important tourneys. Our most lucrative is a special $25,000 guaranteed contest with a very low 9.3% takeout (you won’t find a better deal anywhere). This one pays down to 8th place and will utilize a Live format. There is $12,500 up top for the winner with entries (at $260 each) limited to 107. This, too, will pay full prizes no matter how many take part. Don’t get shut out of this one.

We also have a newly-scheduled NHC direct qualifier on Saturday with two packages (including hotel and $1,000 travel) guaranteed and a third could be added depending on participation. Entry is $160. If you like handicapping stakes races, this is a great weekend to try and “get qualified”.

Saturday is also your last chance to qualify for next weekend’s Orleans Fall Classic. Entries cost $97 and one entry per every 15 will win a $500 entry plus $750 for travel. If that tourney is coming up too quickly for your liking, you can also try for a $1,500, 2017 Horse Player World Series (also at The Orleans) entry for $87. One in 20 will win. Here’s an at-a-glance view of our top Saturday tourneys:

If you’re not mentally exhausted after all of the Friday and Saturday excitement, you’ll want to play our Last Chance qualifier for next week’s Keeneland NHC/BCBC Challenge. An entry fee of $160 can win you a $3,500 package to Lexington, where there will be cash and NHC/BCBC seats galore up for grabs. Our qualifier will offer one full package per each 25 entries.

There will also be a qualifier for $4,500 packages at the Del Mar Fall Classic next month. Entries cost $212 and, again, one in 25 will succeed. Playing live tournaments at Keeneland and Del Mar would certainly make for a pretty exciting fall.

For just $58, you can also qualify for the Twin Spires Online Championship which will offer loads of seats to the NHC and the HPWS. One of every 15 contestants will win a $500 entry plus $250 cash.

Speaking of cash, we’ll have a $7,500 guaranteed cash tourney ($190 entry, $3,750 to the winner) on Sunday with full prizes paid down to 5th place. And we’ll also be hosting our popular Sunday $1,500 guaranteed Exacta game with the winner receiving $600. This one costs just $54.

Here’s a look at Sunday’s marquee tourneys:

Win or lose, be sure to keep a sharp eye on the results of this weekend’s contest races. Many of the horses you see at Keeneland, Belmont and Santa Anita over the next 72 hours will undoubtedly run back in the Breeders’ Cup. Something you notice THIS weekend could pay off big for you THAT weekend. Good luck!
