It appears to be a down weekend coming up in the NFL with only one game scheduled. So we thought we’d try to fill the void with several exciting tournaments where you can win cash, a seat to the coveted The BIG One and more.
Even our Friday featured game is worth going Gaga over.
It’s a $6,500 Guaranteed game with $3,000 to the winner and prizes down to fourth place. It’s a Pick & Pray, with 10 contest races—Gulfstream’s 8th, 10th and 11th, Oaklawn’s 4th, 6th, 8th and 9th, and Santa Anita’s 1st, 4th and 5th.
On Saturday, we hope you’re bowled over by our $25,000 Guaranteed event (Live format) with $12,500 to the winner; a low 10% takeout and payouts down to 8th place. Entry fee is $260 with Aqueduct’s 7th and 8th, Gulfstream’s 9th through 12th, Oaklawn’s 7th and 8th, and Santa Anita’s 5th through 8th serving as the 12 contest races.
Using the same races, we’ll also host a live-format Horse Player World Series full-package direct qualifier (with one in 25 winning an all-inclusive prize) and a feeder to our Sunday The BIG One qualifier. Entry fees are $116 for the HPWS contest and $87 for the feeder to The BIG One.
And don’t forget our “Saturday Night Live” contest, with $2,000 guaranteed. Races for this competition will be the 6th through 8th from both Turfway and Delta Downs, and the 5th through 8th at Sam Houston—10 races in all.
On Sunday, our clearcut highlight (and, we would argue, the best event going on anywhere in the country) is our fourth qualifier of the year to The BIG One. One all-inclusive package (entry, travel, hotel & more) is guaranteed to be awarded, and entries ($390 each) are capped at 35, with up to five $300 consolation prizes also available.
We also have a Sunday cash game with the prize remaining at the recently-increased level of $8,500 Guaranteed. $4,000 will go to the winner and cash prizes will be paid down to 5th. Entry is $190. And, of course, we’ll be hosting another $1,500 Guaranteed Exacta Box tournament on Sunday for $54 ($600 to the victor).
We also are hosting entry-only qualifiers on Sunday to both the Wynn Handicapping Challenge (worth $2,000) and the Horse Player World Series ($1,500 value).
We haven’t determined the contest races for Sunday as of yet, but not to worry—we anticipate having everything done in time for you to spend quality time with your family, watch 60 Minutes, or do whatever it is you have planned for this Sunday evening.
