There’s a major twist to this weekend at HorseTourneys and HorsePlayers. Normally our biggest tourney of the weekend takes place on a Sunday. Some weeks it might take place on Saturday. But this week, Friday is the day you absolutely don’t want to miss.
On Friday, HorsePlayers will host a first-ever combo qualifier whereby—in just one tourney—you can win a seat to both the NHC and the BCBC. Imagine knocking off those two prized birds with just one stone! Entry fee for this unprecedented contest is $344 and one double prize is guaranteed to be awarded even if the event doesn’t “fill”. Contest races for this Live-Format competition are the 5th through 8th at Keeneland; the 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th at Gulfstream; and the 1st and 3rd at Santa Anita.
Handicapping the same races, you can also a $7,500 Guaranteed Pick & Pray at HorseTourneys with prizes down to fifth place and $3,750 to the victor. The entry fee for this one is $190.
Saturday, we’ll be rooting for our many HorseTourneys qualifiers out at Keeneland playing in the Keeneland Spring Challenge. But we’ll have plenty of action here to keep the rest of you engaged (and maybe several of those Spring Challenge players as well!)
This week, Saturday is again headlined by our 2-seat-guaranteed NHC qualifier right here at HorseTourneys. It costs $165 to play and is a Pick & Pray contest, as are most of this weekend’s Saturday/Sunday featured competitions
For cash gamers, we have a $15,000 live-format event with $7,000 to the winner and prizes down to 7th. Contest races for this and the other featured games this day are the 4th through 10th at Keeneland, the 6th, 7th and 9th from Gulfstream; and the 1st and 5th at Santa Anita.
Also on Saturday are qualifiers for the Monmouth Pick Your Prize tournament (entry fee: $116) and the Santa Anita Spring Challenge (just $39). We’ll also host a $1,500 Guaranteed Saturday Night Live tourney with action from Evangeline, Mountaineer and Hawthorne.
The clear highlight of the Saturday action at HorsePlayers.com is a 2-seat-guaranteed qualifier to the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge.
Winners receive full $10,000 entries, and if we reach 195 entries we’ll toss in a third seat. The entry fee is $179, and for those of you at Keeneland, note that seven of the 12 featured contest races are from Keeneland, so you should have done most of the “work” for this one by the time this one closes at 2:45 pm ET.
There’s plenty more where that came from on Sunday.
At HorsePlayers, another 2-seat-guaranteed qualifier for the NHC will be offered. Same price point: $165. So if you don’t connect with our Friday Combo game, or our Saturday qualifier, you have a third shot of the weekend to “get qualified” for the NHC.
Back here at HorseTourneys on Sunday, we have a one-seat-guaranteed qualifier to The BIG One where you can compete against last week’s winner Even Borshack among others. Remember—win The BIG One AND the NHC, and you get a $500,000 cash-on-the-barrelhead bonus from us!
We’ll also be offering a lucrative $12,000 seat (plus $500 travel) to the Kentucky Derby Betting Championship. Note that this one is a Live-Format game (since the last one we ran was a Pick & Pray…we like to alternate so as to keep things as even and fair as possible).

Sunday also marks your first chance to qualify for the July 28-29 Gold Coast Summer Classic. For an entry fee of just $58, our qualifier will send one of every 20 players to Las Vegas with a $500 entry fee and $500 in travel.
And, of course, no mention of a Sunday schedule is complete without a full-throated promotion of our $1,500 Guaranteed Exacta game with $600 to the winner. Although last Sunday, Bob Ruge won and earned $1,000—because he also finished second, making a true exacta out of our Exacta tourney.
As always, keep an eye out for low-cost feeders that can send you to our lucrative final games and qualifiers. Starting this week, we are offering feeders to the June 9-10 Belmont Stakes Handicapping Challenge. Our first qualifier to that event takes place a week from Sunday on April 30.
