The upcoming weekend packs a solid 1-2 punch with seven featured tourneys on Saturday and eight slated for Sunday. However, one could argue that the most anticipated tourney of the weekend will take place on Friday over at HorsePlayers.
Our $50 NHC qualifiers have been very popular thus far. Popular enough that we’ve decided to run another one on a Friday. And popular enough that, for the first time, we are guaranteeing three NHC seats in the prize pool.
Please note that there is a maximum of three entries per account. Contest races for this live-format contest are the 7th, 8th and 9th at Churchill Downs; the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th at Santa Anita and the 6th, 7th and 8th from Belmont (which runs a twilight card on Friday)—10 races in all.
Using many of the same races, we are also offering a $7,500 Pick & Pray with with $3,750 to the winner and payouts down to fifth place.
Entry is $190 with a limit of 44 entrants. Contest races are the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th from Belmont; the 7th, 8th and 9th from Churchill Downs; and the 3rd and 4th from Arlington—10 races once again.
The cash and NHC seats keep flowing on Saturday.
Our big-money game of the day is a very nice $25,000 Guaranteed game (live format) with $12,500 up top and prizes down to 8th position. This one costs $260 to play with entries capped at 107 and contest races originating from Belmont, Churchill and Woodbine.
Our Saturday menu of qualifiers to prime brick-and-mortar events is topped by a 2-seat-guaranteed NHC live-format qualifier for $165. If participation warrants, we could award up to four seats (based on a 1 seat per 65 entries formula). Contest races for this and our other Saturday qualifying events are the 5th, 7th, and 9th at Belmont; the 7th, 9th and 10th at Churchill; the 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th from Laurel; and the 1st and 5th from Santa Anita—12 races in all.
Saturday at HorseTourneys will also feature qualifiers to the Wynn Handicapping Challenge, Monmouth’s NHC Super Qualifier, the July Surfside tournaments and the Gold Coast Summer Classic. Entry fees for these four “play-ins” range between $58 and $116.
But don’t forget HorsePlayers on Saturday.
The Saturday HorsePlayers feature is a $179 Pick & Pray offering at least one guaranteed seat to the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge. Win this contest featuring races from Belmont, Churchill, Laurel and Santa Anita and you’ll earn a $10,000 entry (including $7,500 live bankroll) to horse racing’s best two days of betting all year.
HorsePlayers keeps the momentum going on Sunday…
…with a 2-seats-guaranteed live-format qualifier to the NHC for $165. Up to four seats will be offered, depending on participation
At HorseTourneys, seven more featured games are scheduled…
…including two Sunday stalwarts: the $10,000 Guaranteed game (live format this week) with $5,000 to the victor and prizes down to fifth place. And the $1,500 Guaranteed Exacta game (live format as per usual) with $600 going to the victor.
After a brief run, the Santa Anita closing weekend (July 1-2) qualifiers have now reached “Last Chance” status. Win this $174 game and you get a $3,000 entry on your choice of July 1 or July 2.
As you might have noticed, guaranteed qualifiers for the Del Mar Handicapping Challenge are now offered on a weekly basis, and they continue to offer winners not just the $7,500 package ($7,000 entry plus $500 travel) but a possible $10,000 HorseTourneys site credit bonus as well should you go on to place first at Del Mar on July 29-30.
As you also might have noticed, Sunday qualifiers to The BIG One now offer guaranteed all-inclusive packages to the top two finishers, rather than just the winner. It’s an improved chance for you to qualify for the year’s “High Expectation” tournament (and a fun one at that).
Chicagoland will also be well represented on the Sunday featured schedule with events offering entries to the Arlington Handicapping Challenge (July 8…time running out!) and the Hawthorne Summer NHC Qualifiers (August 11-12).
Whatever—or wherever—you like to play, chances are we have something geared to it this weekend at HorseTourneys and HorsePlayers. Pick your spots—and your horses—wisely. Good luck!
