Fifty-Dollar BCBC Qualifier, NHC Freeroll, Saratoga Blowout, Wynn Last Chance Top Big Summer Weekend

We’re doing last weekend one better at HorseTourneys and HorsePlayers—20 featured tourneys are on the weekend docket, up from 19 a week ago. One of our very best games this weekend costs just $50 to play. And another is absolutely free!

We get started in a big way on Friday with a first-ever $50 qualifier to the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge at HorsePlayers.

It’s a Pick & Pray with one $10,000 package guaranteed and up to 10 consolation prizes will be offered. Contest races the 6th through 10th (last five) at Saratoga; the 7th and 8th from Ellis; and the 3rd, 4th and 6th at Woodbine—10 races in all.

Back here at HorseTourneys, there are a couple of key Friday games—one usual one and one unusual offering.

For those who like the familiar, there’s our Friday $7,500 Guaranteed Pick & Pray that offers $3,750 to the winner and payouts down to fifth place.

And then there’s a special Friday entry-only qualifier for the August 9-10 Saratoga Challenge. One in 10 entries will win a $2,000 entry, covering both days of action at the Spa. Contest races for the Saratoga qualifier and the $7,500 tourney will be the same as those used for the BCBC qualifier at HorsePlayers.

On Saturday we have another Saratoga Challenge qualifier. This one offers a $750 travel stipend in addition to the $2,000 in entry fees for the two single-day tournaments. Entry is $128 with one in 20 earning a $2,750 package. Contest races for this—and for all Saturday featured races are the 6th ,7th , 8th, 9th and 11th from Saratoga; the 7th , 8th and 10th from Woodbine; and the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th from Del Mar—12 races in all.

There’s plenty more where that came from. We also have a $15,000 Guaranteed game with the victor earning $7,000 and prizes down to 7th place. Or you can try to earn a $2,000 Wynn Handicapping Challenge entry (your next-to-last opportunity to do so).

For those focused on the NHC Saturday brings qualifiers for both the Monmouth NHC Super Qualifier on August 26 and the Indiana Grand NHC Qualifier a week earlier on August 19.

Of course, you NHC fans may just want to head over to HorsePlayers on Saturday.

There you will find a direct qualifier to the NHC—with two seats guaranteed regardless of participation—for $165.

And this week’s $1,500 Guaranteed Saturday Night Live game at HorseTourneys again has the added appeal of having three Del Mar races in the mix along with action from Lone Star and Charles Town. First race: 8:40 p.m. ET.

Sunday is one of our busiest days in quite some time—11 featured tourneys in all—including two important ones at HorsePlayers.

Sunday marks the fourth of five free NHC qualifiers on the 2017 schedule. You must be a registered member of the NHC Tour in order to participate, but if you are, you play absolutely free—and the top five finishers all win coveted spots to the 2018 NHC next February. If you’re not an NHC member but would still like in on the fun, it’s just $50 to register for the NHC Tour at ntra.com.

There’s also a guaranteed qualifier for the BCBC on Sunday at HorsePlayers. Contest races are still to be determined, but it will be a 10-race event beginning with the Haskell at Monmouth Park and concluding with some great racing at Del Mar. It’s a live-format game with an entry fee of $179 and one $10,000 BCBC entry guaranteed.

That leaves nine featured competitions on the Sunday schedule at HorseTourneys:

Our Last Chance Wynn qualifier is sure to be popular. Some 65 players have already earned $2,000 Wynn entries at HorseTourneys and you can jump on the “last train to Vegas” here on Sunday for an entry fee of $116.

Sunday is also our Saratoga Blowout with one in 10 winning $2,000 in entry fees for the August 9-10 event at the Spa.

If it’s Sunday, then you know it’s a day you can qualify for the September 23-24 The BIG One at Laurel. At The BIG One play against no more than 56 to grab cash, along with eight full BCBC entries, 10 NHC seats and 10 Horseplayer World Series entries. The entry fee on Sunday for this is $550, and it will be a Pick & Pray.

We also offer a 2-seat-guaranteed NHC qualifier on Sunday with up to four seats offered depending on participation. Entry is $165. So between this and the free NHC game at HorsePlayers, you’ll have two Sunday chances to “get qualified” from the comfort of your computer screen.

There’s also a live-format qualifier to the September 16 Woodbine Mile Handicapping Tournament. This event carries an entry fee of $148 and one entrant per 25 will receive an entry (worth $3,500 Canadian…the equivalent of about $2,700 U.S.) plus $500 for travel. The live-bankroll Woodbine Mile Handicapping Tournament is expected to offer $165,000 in cash and prizes, including two NHC seats and two BCBC seats.

Another Sunday qualifier is a competition for the August 20 Bluegrass Tournament at Ellis Park. For just $38, you could win a $500 entry in a new live-bankroll tournament that offers 100% payback and four NHC seats tossed in on top of the cash for good measure.

An NHC Tour stop that always draws high marks for friendly service is the Hawthorne Summer NHC qualifier. You can play into that one for just $62 on Sunday.

Cash-gamers will, of course, have ample action on Sunday. There’s our $10,000 Guaranteed game (a Pick & Pray this week) with $5,000 to the winner and payoffs down to fifth place…and the Guaranteed Exacta game (live format as always) with its recently increased purse of $3,000 Guaranteed ($1,200 to the winner).

Last but certainly not least, we want to wish good luck to the 18 HorseTourneys qualifiers who will be doing battle in this weekend’s Del Mar Handicapping Challenge. Should one of them land in first place out at Del Mar, he or she will receive a $10,000 HorseTourneys site credit bonus on top of whatever is won in the contest.

Equal good luck goes out to those of you playing in any of this weekend’s 20 featured tourneys at HorseTourneys and HorsePlayers. Win, lose or draw (dead heat?), it should be a lot of fun.
