Big Bucks Tourneys Now Offered on Both Saturdays and Sundays

Due to popular demand — which has resulted in quick sellouts of late — Big Bucks tourneys will now be offered on Saturdays and Sundays each week. They had previously only been available on Sundays.

The high-stakes cash competitions carry an entry fee of $1,150 and are limited to 20 entries (though one or two additional entries sometimes get in due to participation in late feeders). The prize pool is paid out strictly to the top three finishers on a 70%/20%/10% basis, and the hold is 11.5%.

A couple of changes to report:

The Sunday Big Bucks game has always been a $10,000 Guaranteed Pick & Pray. These will now be the parameters each week for the SATURDAY tourney.

Starting this week, the Sunday Big Bucks event will be run in Live format and the guaranteed purse will be $7,500.

We made this slight adjustment because all weekday feeders will feed into the Saturday event, leaving less time (just Saturday and early Sunday) to run feeders and build a field for the Sunday afternoon tourney. Hence, the slightly smaller Sunday guarantee.

The format switch on Sunday (Live rather than Pick & Pray) was done for the sake of variety, and also so that those who decide at the last minute to play in a Sunday feeder could do so knowing that they would not have to have all of their Big Bucks selections figured out in as little as a half hour after the feeder concludes.

We thank everyone for their support of Big Bucks competitions to date and hope these changes will result in fewer “shutouts.” As always, we will closely monitor participation trends moving forward and make modifications to formats or structures as circumstances dictate.
