A special menu of “Belmont-only” cash games will be available to HorseTourneys players when the Grade I, $1 million Belmont Stakes is contested on Saturday, June 20.
Among the special offerings are a live-format, $50,000 Guaranteed No Limit cash game, a $25,000 Guaranteed No Limit Pick & Pray, a $2,500 Guaranteed No Limit Pick & Pray with an entry fee of just $12; and an up-to-$5,000 Exacta tourney with $1,000 Guaranteed.
All four games will be played using just races from the day’s Belmont Stakes Day card. The direct-entry fee for the $50,000 Guaranteed tourney is $395, the $25,000 Guaranteed event carries an entry fee of $260 and the live-format Exacta competition, which requires participants to select a three-horse exacta box in each race, costs $125 to enter.
Low-cost, $45 feeders to the $50,000 Guaranteed tourney are already available for play each day in advance of the June 20 final. Feeders for the Belmont Stakes Day $25,000 Guaranteed Pick & Pray will be posted shortly.
The takeout to players (or “hold”) in all four tourneys will be just 11.5%, though if any of the games fail to reach their guaranteed purse amounts, such events would still run as an “overlay game” for players.
We hope that the variety of formats and price points will help ensure that there is a special Belmont Stakes Day tourney for every budget and preferred style.
HorseTourneys also announced today that, through a special agreement with European racing officials, contests on races from the United Kingdom and Ireland are now available.
Due to the time differences involved, the European tourneys will be offered primarily during morning hours here in the U.S. The tourneys will be run both as stand-alone cash games and as “Quick, Early-bird feeders” for featured events taking place later in the same day. Scores will be tabulated using the same mythical $2.00 win-and-place format familiar to HorseTourneys players.
HorseTourneys presently has agreements in place with approximately 50% of European racetracks. In time, we hope to be able to offer tourneys on all major European racing venues.
The new offerings from abroad are designed to give our customers the widest choice of racetracks and time-of-day options possible.
