Announcing the Flo-Cal Faceoff Show Presented by HorseTourneys and Sport of Kings

HorseTourneys announces the Flo-Cal Faceoff Show, a two-night live broadcast that will discuss news, strategy, and action from HorseTourneys’ Flo-Cal Faceoff on Saturday and Sunday, January 9-10.

The two-night live-stream will air online for free from 6:00–8:00 PM ET this Saturday and Sunday on the HorseTourneys YouTube channel. Those interested in watching the show can sign up for tune-in alerts at the Sport of Kings website here.

Hosted by Sport of Kings’ Scott Carson and Chris Larmey, the Flo-Cal Faceoff Show will follow the action on track at host venues Gulfstream and Santa Anita and also offer discussion on handicapping strategy, game theory, and leader board analysis. The shows will also feature special guests, including NHC Hall of Famer and 2019 Spa & Surf Showdown champion Paul Shurman.

“We are thrilled to be following the Flo-Cal Faceoff with live commentary, live racing, and handicapping,” said Sport of Kings Founder Carson.

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with Sport of Kings in our first foray into live coverage of one of our major events,” said HorseTourneys President McKay Smith. “We look to this as the start of a more robust coverage program for the site.”

The show will support the second-annual Flo-Cal Faceoff, the first leg of the new 2021 Tourney Triple series at HorseTourneys that also includes the Players Championship in April and the Spa & Surf Showdown in August. The Flo-Cal Faceoff is a two-day tournament in which players make mythical selections on each race from the days’ full cards at Gulfstream and Santa Anita.

In 2021, the Flo-Cal Faceoff will feature a record prize pool of over $300,000. In last year’s inaugural edition of the Faceoff, winner Thomas Blosser of Cornville, Ariz., earned $87,000 from an overall purse of $225,000.

Low-cost qualifiers to the 2021 Flo-Cal Faceoff continue to run daily at HorseTourneys until the start of the event this Saturday. Players wishing to compete can find the qualifier schedule by going to HorseTourneys.com and sorting by “Flo-Cal.” Direct buy-ins to the Faceoff are also available. The entry fee for buy-ins is $1,500, with a maximum of two entries permitted per player. More information on the event can be found here.
